My Capstone Project is a non-profit owned and managed social application that uses tabletop roleplaying games as a way to bring people together in real world spaces.
The problem
Young people aged between 18-30 are more likely to experience loneliness, since the Pandemic. Generally, these individuals have high rates of mental illness, with anxiety. This forms a common barrier to local community participation.
Young people also find it generally difficult to socialise in person compared to online, and many don’t participate in their local communities often, if at all.
The solution
Shared hobbies and communities have always been used as a way to bring people together, with roleplaying games being better for finding friends than attending local community events for many people.
Rolemates aims to use similar methods to bring people together in real-world spaces and find life-long connections, while also tackling the negative stigma roleplaying games have by making the hobby more accessible and inclusive of new players.

The rolemates logo usually goes on top of the dark purple and cream within the brand identity’s colour pallete, typically used within the application and website for light and dark mode respectively. In print the cream is the default. The colour pallete use is strictly limited to the provided colour pallete, with one of the exceptions being in the dragon character commonly featured throughout the project, which has a lighter-blue underside and claws. Other dragons may be designed for the project as long as they remain simple and fit within the colour scheme of the branding (no stripes, major spots, etc.) They can be other types of dragons (wyverns, wyrms, etc). Should be an easy design to replicate and reuse.

Hexagons can be used decoratively either as a fill or solid in addition to wavey and curly lines, however these can only be the purple, orange, or the blue. They should never be the lightest or darkest colour in the pallete. Wavey lines are always at 50% opacity.
